One of our favourite designers, NOM*D was established in NZ in 1986 by Margarita and Chris Robertson. Still operating from Dunedin, NOM*D is known for its dark aesthetic, vintage and avant-garde style and its legendary influence on New Zealand fashion. Since the very beginning it has been inspired by upcycling, and by japanese workwear. The label has deep ties with artists, musicians and filmmakers, and is currently the subject of a retrospective exhibition at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery.
